The location of the hotel is extremely peaceful and offers a convenient base for hiking up Cader Idris. the rooms, although small, are clean and comfortable. the owner was kind enough to offer a ride to the trailhead, which was greatly appreciated. Guests can also enjoy a beautiful flower garden on the property.

It would have been helpful to have a more modern and larger TV in the rooms. there was a lack of clear communication for questions regarding the property, such as the wifi password.

I stayed at The Bothy for a hiking trip up Cader Idris and it was incredibly convenient. Dawn even gave me a ride to the trailhead, giving me a head start before the sun got too hot! The accommodations were spotlessly clean and Dawn's beautiful flower garden made me feel like I was in the middle of a postcard. Thank you, Dawn, for a wonderful stay!

Totally recommend this hotel.
